Kormotech Becomes the First Ukrainian Pet Food Company to Receive BRCGS Certification

Kormotech is currently the only pet food manufacturer in Ukraine to have received international certification for compliance with the BRCGS Global Standard Food Safety.

BRCGS is one of the internationally recognized standards for food production safety and quality. It is applied at more than 22,000 production sites in over 130 countries, and compliance with its requirements is taken into account by leading international retailers and manufacturers when selecting partners.

For Kormotech, obtaining the certificate was part of its long-term production strategy and the next stage in the development of its quality management system in Ukraine. The company already has experience operating in accordance with BRCGS requirements at its plant in Kėdainiai, Lithuania, which has been certified to this standard since 2021.

Following an audit conducted by Bureau Veritas Certification Ukraine, the facility received an A grade — one of the highest ratings in the certification system. Bureau Veritas Certification Ukraine (Bureau Veritas) is the Ukrainian division of the international company Bureau Veritas, one of the world’s leading companies in inspection, testing, and certification.
